Hi.. Boat is a 1988 Mirage Intruder 22 ft..
came stock witht he 280 hp 350.. now has a Edelbrock perfomer intake carb spacer and Edelbrock 4 brl.. also has those purple roller lifters and rockers.
I have had the boat for 2 months now.. family has always had cruisers so this is a change..
Had the boat to 54 MPH( no GPS--just speedo..) with little to no trimming/experimentation with tabs..

Has new paint and thru hull exhaust.. OMC outdrive.. cobra.. New gimble, u joints, impeller and both bellows..

My goal is to make it as fast as possible and not lose reliability..

My 6 yr old is with me alot. we love to fish and drag him behind the boat.. ...on a towable of course..:ernaehrung004:

There was a 65' Viking named "YOLO" that was down at the Miami Boat show last year. The captain of the boat gave us a few cuzzies that say YOLO on them we kept them on the boat this summer and people always ask what YOLO mean! Fun Stuff!

Welcome to OSO!

Bobthebuilder 10-28-2007 09:59 PM

Welcome to OSO, YOLO. I recognize the harbour at Barrie, ON. I am on Lake Simcoe a couple of times each summer so if we meet be sure to say, hi.:D

Welcome reincarnated person who only lives once.
Irony anyone? :)

Other famous YOLOs:

Young Orangutans Laugh Obnoxiously

Just remember, if you make Bouyhunter upset he will not be able to stop himself from calling you Yoko.

Hey... just an FYI... I have been there done that with just about any cobra issue, OSO member Liberator21 knows them too. People on this board helped me get to know the oddities of mine. I am sure that we can help you out if you get puzzled.
Be sure to buy an extra ignition shift interrupt module. They are a easy to swap out while on the water and it will save your gears if you should lose it. I had twins and lost both in the course of two seasons. You'll know when it goes. The gears will start grinding bad. If this happens... don't shift until you get the module swapped out. They are about 100.00 US.
Good luck.

Ohh.... when you winterize.... make sure that the antifreeze gets all the way through the system or in the spring you will have a burst coupler in your Y pipe, near the transom seal It will look like a bad seal and is often misdiagnosed.
Water stays there and forces out the seal during the winter. A good idea is to pour antifreeze down the freshwater intake line until it comes out the drive. Then you know. I went through this twice in two winters until I figured out what was up.
I think your next name if necessary should be YOLT.
