Those that aren't willing to run the extra 12 miles to go see it need to sell their boat and take up bowling! ;)

Haven't seen where they have announced a date yet but my guess is they will keep it on the same weekend. Hopefully more info will be available after the official announcement Friday morning. Those that aren't willing to run the extra 12 miles to go see it need to sell their boat and take up bowling! ;)

i think the drive up attendance will be down though... that is a much further and out of the way place to drive to for most of the lake.... and i think some boats wont go down the extra 12 miles.... not the hardcore guys on here, but the curious ones who stopped in on their way to PC...
the only thing guaranteed will be the 13 mile washing machine ride back afterwards.... :drink: |

Seems to me that a fair amount of people venture all the way up to Big Dick's at the 47mm and don't have an issue with the distance and people still want one or two last flings on the water after Labor Day anyway.:ernaehrung004: |

Without seeing a course layout, I would think the additional length is for run-up and shut-down areas for safety purposes.
http://www.mswp.dps.mo.gov/News/NRDe...p?ID=N07070225 The old Regatta permit listed it at the 23mm on the WP website and it went all the way past the 21mm. |
A 2 mile course would be awesome, the speeds would probably increase at least another 10 mph for the big dogs.
|
THE SHOOTOUT WILL BE HELD ON THE SAME WEEKEND AS BEFORE AND THE COURSE WILL BE LAYED OUT THE SAME AS BEFORE A 1 MILE COURSE WITH STAGING AND SHUTDOWN TIME. :evilb:
