All Cougar & CUV hulls were built over seas in the days before the Euro when the pound and Lire were cheap - made the purchases that much easier - Plenty of aluminum boat manufactureing of aluminum boats in the US and Canada, but built for industry. If you are looking for a big aluminum cat there are plenty of them out there looking for a home. Only down side is they may be a little heavy for the size when compared to 2008 standard fiberglass boats - the good news is that you can buy these hulls "cheap" -

We built Morales's triple vee-bottom "Maggie's Mercruiser Special (Later Popeye'e) and Toleman's 43' triple small block class 1 boat, and a 58' x 22' Diesel 50 knot cat patrol boat on thunderboat row.
