Need a large picture or poster...
 

Its a Tom Newby picture.Saw it in the new Powerboat Mag today and need to know where to get it. Its a picture of the Start of the NYC race 1999 in front of the twin towers. Its on page 94 of the December 2007 issue of PBM.

I think they should re release that photo poster size and donate the money to his wife and kids.The guy had alot of passion and will be hard to replace.Imagine those kids? I think that is the most sought after picture out there I wish I got my copy.

There are alot of pictures of race boats with the towers in the back. My friend has a large one of just his boat in a NY race with the towers in the background. Very cool shot.

I have that poster new in its shipping tube awating matting and framing (along with a host of other stuff) for hanging in my still unfinished shop.
It definitely is one worth having! It came in the mail from Powerboat Mag just before the holidays in '01. Maybe the folks at Powerboat could re-release it?

I have it in my office. I didn't get one when they first released them, but a year or two ago someone had them on e-bay.

I have one framed in my office that I ordered from powerboat mag when they were issued. Glad I did because 2 Years ago I seen one sell on EBay for more than $200. I obtained an extra last year, figuring that this might be worth some $$$ one day.

I think I paid about 10 bucks for mine on e-bay...maybe 20.

I just took a look at my original issued fall of '01 and it has the
Powerboat Magazine logo in the lower left corner with the words "In Memory of September 11, 2001"
I don't see that in the reprints or pictures posted here- not sure if it was an ommitance or something exclusive to the original issue of the poster.

The ones I got have that on them.

I just checked mine and the one I have framed is an original with the powerboat logo and the other dose not.

I would like to see a high quality coffee table book with Tom Newby's pics. The guy was a great photographer and even if just marketed to boaters it could raise money for his Kidd's college fund. The Twin Tower pic would make a great cover for the book.
