Default Keith Eickert 675 engine

Hey everyone, I'm considering buying a 28' boat with one of these motors. Motor has 72 hrs on it and it's a 04 year. I've always been a fan of Merc power because of the realiability but I found this opportunity so i'd like to get some input. Any info would be much appreciated

Nice motor and a nice package, but they are very finicky with water pressure and overheating. They do run strong when everything is dialed in well.

Make sure thgat Keith built the motor and not some hack hired by Julie Sullivan after she stole the name from KE. Keith's 657's were great motors.

Know of a couple boats with them and they haven't had any issues. Both owners have been very happy with the power/performance. I'll bet they were done by KE and not Julie.

Great engines! Never had any problems other than fouling the plugs if I idle too long and we are talking very long. I would recomend them any day ! 250 hours between rebuilds but springs after 200 hours is what I have been told.
