Any info on accident/boat near MM 166 on Fla turnpike.?
Maybe involving a race/poker boat? Said to possibly have OB's and happened around 6-7 pm.
Hope not but a good visual from someone passing by.

It says southbound, so hopefully it's not one of our OSO friends.
ST. LUCIE COUNTY — A two-vehicle accident on Florida's Turnpike Sunday afternoon near Fort Pierce caused a boat to block southbound traffic for several hours, resulting in it being backed up for at least six miles at one point.
Around 4:47 p.m., a truck towing the boat and a septic tank truck collided near mile marker 164, disabling both vehicles and causing the boat to fall off its trailer, said Lt. Gene Phillipson, of the Florida Highway Patrol.
Road crews blocked one of the two southbound lanes because of the boat.
Around 6:20 p.m. road workers were still waiting for a tow truck to remove the boat, Phillipson said. At about 7 p.m., traffic was backed up for six miles.
There were no injuries.

Well I post this with tears in my eyes and a broken heart. On the way on on the Fla Turnpike we were rear ended at 80mph by a large truck everything was totaled truck boat and trailer. The only saving grace here is my wife and I have only minor injuries which we are staring to feel today as the shock wears off. We were slowing down for stoped traffic shortly ahead and were down to about 30 or 40 with our flashers on when we got glommed at 80++. Driver of truck said he fell asleep at the wheel.
Anyone who has seen the Skater 24-7 knows this was probally the niceset 28 anywhere everything was brand new and totally custom.
RIP 24-7 Greg show them some pics of cockpit
I try and post pictures of carnige at a later date. RR was the best time it a shame our weekend ended like this.

My accident happend on Wednesday night on I-75. I-75 was closed for a while. Blew a tire on the trailer, ended up in the ditch, boat, trailer, car flipped. Missed the run. Boat, car, trailer in "hospital". We are OK.
Devistaing day though. .. We drove down on Friday night for the festivities anyway.
Thanks the members of OSO, FPC, PR of America, Julie at throttle up. some of the racers, Scater guys, ("merci boucupe" to the French guys) etc, for their kind words and support for my misshap. I hope the other accident victims are OK to.
