Brian ain't kidding! We were in 'em too. We wound up cutting inside to run with the group up to Gilberts. I was in a 42X Cig and amazingly enough he didn't have to throttle too much at 50-55mph. It was cutting them like butter. Every few seconds a wall of water would roll by both sides of the boat and we were dry as can be. That was a fun ride!

Take into account that Sydwayz is only 4'6" tall and all waves look huge. :ernaehrung004:

The NOAA marine report said 6 to 8 near shore while we were out there. That was their measurement. I saw a few that came from the side that were at least 4 feet above my head. The most awesome thing was when I got back to the AT factory. I didn’t have one screw loose on the boat. Big water is like skiing moguls. You have to just go around them and hit them just right so it doesn’t hurt. There is a lot of speeding up and slowing down. We were able to run about 50-60mph the whole way from MIA to Pompano. The water condition from Key West to Marathon was about 3-4 and occasional 5's.

I saw you guys go by...I was relaxing with a beer in hand sitting on the 20th floor of the Westin Hollywood happy that my boat was on the rack. Looked like a rough ride for all. I took some pics but don't know how good they'll be from that distance. I'll try and post them later on.

Actually, just out of sync since SOMEBODY played with my props! ( I won't bring up George's name here)

And we never did open her up for more than a few sprints. They have this darned thing called 'break-in'......Those guys at High Performance make you wait like a kid at Christmas. None the less we were pleased with what we saw so far.

An oil change and testing this week, however!

We had a blast despite the water on the way back which was only bad becuase the Cabernet the night before was sstill in my body.

I was running back with the AT crew, and I can honestly say their were many 6' to 8' that I encountered, especially through Gov't cut.

I should have taken the ride........Damn it!!

With crb76 there were times between Miami and Pompano that we could hold 67 and saw 72 once when you could stay on top of 'em or get into the long troughs.
Hillsboro inlet is a trick in it's self let along with that kind of water. But what a ride!!

Love to see them. Quite honestly it wasnt bad once you got on top of them and went around some. Rough water capability is the hallmark of the AT.
