No, not even close. The ZR is the newer of the two, the design is only 4 yrs +/- old.

Completely different bottom.
I think the ZR has a narrower beam too.
Staggered 525 in a ZR will get you into the 90's.

38zx -37'9 overall, 9'3 beam, 11,500 lbs
38zr - 38'10 overall, 8'8 beam, 9500 lbs
