The pics don't do it justice. His boat is more like stunning! I have never seen a boat cabin look more like a contemporary apartment.

Well, thank you Mr Bill! I have a set of labbed Maximus on my Christmas list so I can get her dialed in for next summer.

Then maybe I can get you to add AT to your list. :D

Big blocks DO love cold air.
Got 94 Sunday and it was still climbing, but had to shut down or I would have gone right up the ramp at the Narrows w/o a trailer.

As far as ride goes, since the 1980's the only boat that I remember ever being impressed with in the 30-35' range was a 30' Carrera....but those have not been produced since the 1980's. That is until I rode a 32' Active Thunder in 1989 or so. I have owned my 1990 32' A/T for going on 8 years now. I love the deep free board of the Active Thunder---makes you really feel like you are IN the boat and I feel safe! I also like the idea that they do not have a built-in swim platform which (to me) gives off a "hot tub" type of appearance...just my opinion. The A/T's have nice lines, are well built and look like at TRUE offshore boat......and I love the feel of the ride.

I went for a demo ride on an AT while we were in Key West and I was really impressed. The boat ran upper 80s with ease and still had plenty left. I have no doubt that it is capable of 100 plus with that Merc 700/NXT package. We ran in seas from all directions without any tabs or driver input and the boat handled it with ease. It cornered like a traditional v hull and was overall very impressive.

This was the first time that I had checked one out up close and I'll tell you that the cabin was way beyond nice. It absolutely had all the comforts of home! Fast and comfortable, what a great combination.

Therein lies the secret to the cult....:violent040:

Value for the buck trumps old reputations who are still just too proud of theior product. More power to the small guys, and and more power to good value.
