I like it a lot. Minimal setup and runs pretty well. Only had to swim for it once so far :D

Got mine christmas just now messing with it i'm thinking of running a bead of clear silicone on the boat under the hatch and letting it dry to form a gasket to keep the water out in case of a flip. What do you think?

Here's mine I've finished in around 1980 . Got a 46" Prather
hull , modified a 38cc Pioneer chainsaw engine for watercooling and fabricated a scale Arneson drive with 1:2
step up .

Throw a couple wadded up paper towels in the hull before each run. It will wick up the water that comes in from the ant hole. I also tape the cover on with regular scotch tape over the seam each run. Keeps her nice and dry. When your ready for a prop , let me know.

The guy I bought it from mentioned the tape thing thats what I will do because the hatch won't fit correctly with silicone. Thanks for your help.

One More

I just finished this 65" Model of the Outerlimits GTX. Added my own twist to the pait scheme. The drives off the back are replicas of arnesons. The props are 85mm 5 blades. The engines are 7 HP each inline twin zenoahs timed 180 degree apart. The engines do have clutches.

It was a tight fit, but it all came out ok in the end.
