Help Please,Floor jack want pump up???

I got the boat trailer jacked up on stands and I cant get it down,

Its a Walker/Linclon jack made for napa # 91-652 height 3 3/4 to 24...2 ton

With the jack down ya start pumping it ,it pumps a little but it leaks right back down,

The vent looking cap on the top I took off it looked low of oil and added some to it,I think it was low,now it want even mover up any,I guess thats were ya put oil in it??

I tried with handle valve closed pulling up on jack to the top ,open valve then let down, this doesn't seem to bleed it..

It also would leak down real slow when jacking up a viechle.

Is there any of you thats knowledgeable on these jacks etc

Thanks for any help in this matter,Im stuck:(

My last jack did the same thing. It was 15 years old. Tried the same things as you and nothing worked. Figured it was just easier to put it in the dumpster and get a new as opposed to trying to get the hydrauilcs fixed. Bought a new one on sale at Sears.

The seat is probably worn out. People ALWAYS over tighten the things and ruin them. When they are new all you need to so is just barely seat the things and they work. For some reason people feel the need to really tighten them. This puts a groove in the seat and it will no longer work. Back out the screw that the handle goes into and I am betting there will be a ridge on it.

You're probably gonna need a new jack, I've never been able to fix my old ones that leak.

What were you doing anyways? Looking for porn under the boat?:evilb::D

Sounds like you need a higher capacity jack. My 3 ton roller jack would not lift my steel trailer with the boat on it. I bought a 20 ton bottle jack and it lifted the whole side into the air:D with ease.
