I like the pulse drive set up.

What would be the downside?

Really s***y handling around the docks and not exactly the friendliest for high speed handling, according to some previous experiments with by OSO members.

no hatch to contend with, engines are below the cockpit in the boat posted by bbb725.

Who here has a CC with a surface drive setup?
I'm primarily interested in how clean the wake is at a 6 knot trolling speed.

Call up Marlin Yachts. They use pulse drives on there 31 and 36 diesel CC's

Or Don Smith who has a fixed surface drive, "PowerVent" system on his.

been on a Don Smith, not very clean wash, if you looking for lots of white water - you got it!

We've got a lot of applications like what you are discussing. Fishing boats, dive boats, crab boats, shrimp boats and so on.

The Nortec Center Console has the Yanmar/Arnesons on it also.
