The south east has had a HUGE drought.....in VA we finally started getting some rain a month ago. A number of the local smaller lakes have had all the ramps close due to no water....we went over 90 days without a drop falling. From the reports I hear Atlanta GA region has had it much morse than we have so I'm sure that picture is typical of the region.

Its global warming just listen to al gore its the reason why anything is different.

Its really because of no hurricanies in 2 yrs. Remember it was global warming that caused katrina etc. So it must be global warmings fault we have not had one in two years right ?

just ranting

looks like a good time to remove all the illegally dumped tires from the lake.

Most all the lakes in the south were built for water (drinking), or power companies use (or both). People still need electricity and drinking water but with NO rainfall there is nothing to fill the lakes back up. It can downpour several hundred miles from here and without us getting a drop the mountain rivers can add a foot or 2 to the lakes in just a couple days.

RR or Joker, I can't place the pic. Any help?

God, that sucks. I almost bought the 5 acres at the end of WaterMark. How are the docks over there if you know? Supposedly deep water.
