I'm trying to compare it with Concepts, Scarabs and Renegade Center Consoles in terms of freeboard. Anyone have any input on that? Also any input on a roughly 30' performance boat with twin outboards? Just had bad luck on both my last 2 I/Os in terms of the steering pins and gimbles so I'm gonna try outboards this time around.

Thanks again for everyone's input on this thread.

If you are looking for a 30' cc check out my Carrera in the classifieds. It is an unbelievable boat, great proven offshore race hull with 250xs outboards runs just under 70mph (I really haven't dialed it in yet). I am looking to get back into a larger faster boat again so I am selling it. It is a 2008 and only has about 16hrs on it.

I also had a 29 kryptonite and have been in the cc version. Runs great but the freeboard is very low. The freeboard on the concept and carrera are almost identacle.

Thanks I'll check it out, but a 2008 CC is most likely not in my budget

Thanks for the input guys. Wife checked out a few CCs at the NYBS and she loved the 32 Sunsation, so I guess I'll be shopping for a used one of those. She didn't like the low free-board on the CCs and didn't like any of the cruisers we looked at.
