Tom thanks for the info. Yeah as a long-time user of forums, I used the old Search Button after you said there was a thread on it. Low free-board is not a good thing for me 
But a dry ride is good. I'm trying to compare it with Concepts, Scarabs and Renegade Center Consoles in terms of freeboard. Anyone have any input on that? Also any input on a roughly 30' performance boat with twin outboards? Just had bad luck on both my last 2 I/Os in terms of the steering pins and gimbles so I'm gonna try outboards this time around.

If you are looking for a 30' cc check out my Carrera in the classifieds. It is an unbelievable boat,great proven offshore race hull with 250xs outboards runs just under 70mph (I really haven't dialed it in yet). I am looking to get back into a larger faster boat again so I am selling it. It is a 2008 and only has about 16hrs on it.

Thanks I'll check it out, but a 2008 CC is most likely not in my budget

Thanks for the input guys. Wife checked out a few CCs at the NYBS and she loved the 32 Sunsation, so I guess I'll be shopping for a used one of those. She didn't like the low free-board on the CCs and didn't like any of the cruisers we looked at.
