I actually rec'vd a letter reply from my Representative writing that:

"I strongly believe Congress never intended for an idiosyncrasy in the law to force owners of recreational boats to obtain the same types of permits or inspections as cargo container ships, cruise ships or supertankers. If the recreational Boating Act of 2007 comes to the House floor for a vote, I would likely support the measure."
