Marinizing 7.3 Powerstroke's Is there a kit for this?

I have a friend that just bought a 31 Mirage. He is a diesel & outboard mechanic. He wants to adapt a pair of 7.3's that he has in his backyard to bravo 1's and put them on the project boat. he didnt come out with this idea overnight. He has another friend:rolleyes: that has seen this done before.

Ive been looking around the web and cant find much on this. Just wanted to know if any of you know someone that makes a kit or at least the manifolds and drive adapters ???

Any info would be great to calm my friends headaches:D

7.3l D

clctrader,

The exhaust port spacing on a 7.3 matches a big block chevy. In the early days we made adapter plates to go between the 7.3 head and the Chevy exh manifolds. This works fine, the angle of the V is different but that's just cutting the spacer in a wedge shape and putting header studs on the same plane as opposed to the block.

Also, CMI made us custom headers many, many years ago that connect to a single turbo. You never know they made have the measurements somewhere??? We sent them a whole engine to work off of and I know they made templates for future orders.

The adpt to a Bravo drive not hard, if you PM we can talk about it, too long to write down here.

I believe a Bravo2 may be a better drive choice, if im not mistaken they were made for diesel applications.

there is a 31' or 32' condor boat with that power in it. Heavy and slow compare to a gas engine boat I think it had stern power drivers on it. was for sale for a while Hot Boat tested it.
