Default Engine package, gauges, etc. $?

In my thread. "help with boat choice" I was looking for a used boat.
There is another option, so I'm looking for some prices, budget (to make a decision) for the following. Twin set up.
New or custom built motors. (2) 550+- HP __________ ?
Bravo XR Drives. (2) ________?
Complete set of gauges_______?
Steering system, (wheel assembly.) _______?
El. bolsters (2) _______?
K' planes .. set.. ________?
Transom Assembly.(2) ______ 3200ea?

Can it be done for $60000????

I don't think for 60k you could do merc unless its a 496ho. I think oem on the 525efi w/xr is like 32-33k. Now if you fid a set of low hour used ones maybe. Now custom I don't know most of the ones I have seen in the 550hp range want about 25k just for the motor. It look like 25-35k just for the drives, gauges, bolsters,k planes etc.

Ask anyone who has done it before... when you are done you have more money and time into the boat than if you just pony up a little more money at the beginning and get the boat you want, already done and ready to ride !

I have a pair of 540/ 600 hp engines that may fit your need and budget. They are 22.5K each, have a one year warranty, and are 100% complete and ready to drop in.
All wiring, plumbing, exhaust, motor mounts etc are there.
The rest is off the top of my head:
XR's- 14,000
Gauges- 1,500
Full hyd. steering system- 3,500
Bolsters- ?
K planes- 2,500
Gimbles- 6,500
That's 73,000 without the bolsters. The good thing about going this route is that everything is new, you know what you have, and some of it is covered by a warranty. You are not buying someone else's problem. Let me know if I can help, Eddie.

I've said that for years. If the speed of you own boat doesn't please you, sell it and buy one that does. You will be money ahead.

There is more to rigging a hull than the parts you see. Harnesses, shift cables, fuel lines, trim pumps, trim tab pumps, cleats, fuel fills, exhaust piping, stainless fasteners, shifters and throttles, battery boxes, lighting, hatch lifts, bilge pumps, switches, dash panels, and more. Figure roughly 10k per side in rigging plus power, drives and gimbles.
