I am willin to bet that they have more behind diesels then they do behind gas motors. I am sure that Biggus can fill us in on that.

They have a larger upper gearset and shaft in their HD drive. Other than that- same drive. Adds about 150 HP capacity to the mfg's ratings.

They actually started with Alpha compatible drives and then transitioned to diesel stern drives.

The obsolete TRS drive parts availibility led to the next drive which is the 540. This drive is available in the recreation version or the HP version with nose cone.
