OldSchool 12-06-2007 11:06 AM

That water is too big for Apaches, but looks just about right for an active thunder to run through at 70 or so!:eek:

:evilb::D:evilb::drink:

jeff1000man 12-06-2007 11:06 AM

wow

Wobble 12-06-2007 11:18 AM

went through bigger than that my first time in the North sea, made a 460' supply boat launch like a go fast in 4-6's and had me puking for 36 hours.

They build the lowest decks on oil rigs there 80-100' above sea level and still we got days when they were getting wet

behind the bridge, at least one or two decks above the work deck, U shaped tubes with float-balls in them incase you go deep. :D

The Columbia bar at the mouth of the Columbia River gets some pretty good waves.

Real "Offshore" race anyone. Monday was only 27 footers. Just wonder if enough AT's around to have a race..........

There's probably more than a few Coasties and Navy guys that would tell you that kind of water is almost more manageable in a big Zodiac than anything else.
