It looks to me like a scarab got ass raped by a skater

cosmic12 12-08-2007 06:21 AM

Art Carlson (glasstron) Fountian actully built a few of them with some changes. I have never seen that before. 33 ft single?

TeamSaris 12-08-2007 07:52 AM

That poor lil jeep:D

LostinBoston 12-08-2007 11:01 AM

I'd rather have a bladerunner. Plus there is a lot of wood in that boat.

McGary911 12-08-2007 11:22 AM

Apt description packin'.......

"the boat’s construction has a somewhat tender aspect typical of prototypes that is best handled by an experienced sailor"

huh?

IndecentExposure 12-08-2007 11:44 AM

33 single, I see why the put a blower on it:eek:

Pwrbt33 12-08-2007 12:47 PM

1500 hp with a change of a pulley!!:D All this out of an MPI intake! You guys should learn something!

No kidding, at least the Bladerunner looks cool.

hoghead 12-08-2007 12:52 PM

Built with a wood structure and Kevlar overlay, the boat weighs a mere 1,300 lbs less engine and out drive.

WOW...

articfriends 12-08-2007 12:57 PM

I wonder if it really pulls that 36 pitch prop they pictured plus with the weight listed under 2000 lbs before motor/drive was installed would it blow over if the wind caught it? The pic of the front from inside does look very lightweight,I would be worried it would disentegrate when it hit the first big wave,Smitty

Griff 12-08-2007 01:52 PM

Cruises at 85mph.......but doesn't have hyd steering.

Sydwayz 12-08-2007 02:04 PM

Catmando's next boat. I think he still has a Ford Ranger to pull it too.

I was thinking the same thing. That 6 banger has to struggle with that.
:eek::eek:

Years ago when I worked at Dick Simon Marine, they had one of those boats at the shop. It was UGLY!!!!

monstaaa 12-08-2007 06:33 PM

I was thinking the same. I'm suprised that it can get on plane with a single motor and that 36p prop.

Darrell.

LMAO.... That's some funny chit. very true.

socalstone 12-09-2007 08:23 AM

Does anyone really buy into this bs: "Imagine it gliding swiftly over the water. Listen to the thunderous roar of its mighty engine....."

Hot Boat 12-09-2007 02:26 PM

A conservative estimate with the Bam speed calculator

1.5 gears @ 5200 rpm w/36P Prop @ 13% slip = 103 MPH

With a single engine 33' long 12' wide hull

I Don’t Think So.

That hull looks as strong as an Adirondack canoe. One good wave at speed would snap that hull in half

And it all could be yours for only $185,000.00

BeakBoater35 12-09-2007 02:51 PM

Thanks a heap for bringing this to everybody's attention. Now I'm going to have to jump in a pay the pay-it-now-price of $185K so someone doesn't snipe me bidding anything less!

And let's give credit where credit is due...this setup allows a Bravo drive to handle 1500 HP. Anyboady else been able to do this? I think not!

Couple of old sayings come to mind,

One mans trash is another mans treasure!
Only thing bigger than a mans boat is a mans EGO!
Don't stop- keep going!
Now you see it - Now you Don't!

Ray @ Raylar

Dude! Sweet! 12-10-2007 10:21 AM

There's one of those (or similar) in the storage yard where I launch... If you think it's hideous in photos then you should see it in person! If my dog's face looked like that boat, I'd shave it's ass and teach it to walk backwards! :D

Aqua Banshee 12-10-2007 10:27 AM

There was one on Ebay last year with a taller deck and a full cabin. For power it had a single Torque Marine v-12 and a #6 drive. The drive was stolen. sold for under $25,000.
