Johno,

I remember that, and things like that make me feel fortunate to have the weedwacker, just a few new sleeves, and it'll be fine, but I didnt have the money to build this thing in the first place, a few more g's might put me over the edge.

I think ya may be right, head gasket looks real funny in that area, question is, why both bottom cylinders??

Here is the other side.

Its common on all cylinder, none specific. Can be resleeved, but it wiil probably need couple of rods,3-4 pistons and maybe new crank(rings, bearings, etc).Reman powerhead may be the way.Very depressing.

I windowed one my 2.4 blocks the same way. Got tired of paying other people to hot rod my stuff so I busted out the craftsmen tools and never looked back. My point is, if you are gonna put this one back together I've got what you need collecting dust in my basement. Used, but usable. US Chrome in Wis. can fix your block with Chrome bores.

Spent the summer boatless and working out eggbeater pproblems on Donzi's boat. I'm really starting to reconsider an outboard CC for my next boat
