I'm glad you enjoyed it. The Apache cats were probably the most overlooked part of the story, but that was where Ben was going when he "changed careers". He actually paid George and I to design a cat for him that was never built, and the 4 Engine Cougar , "Eric's Reality" was originally commissioned for Ben.

When I first saw it from the Helicopter, I thought it was sponsored by a Real Estate company and I called it "Eric's Realty" as I announced live on the tape of its very first race....

Charlie corrected me soon after............

I guess I was entitled to one mistake in over 150 races......

Believe that and I've got a bridge to sell ya......

Darren,

You've got that right!

I'm remembering when we first met at the A & B Raw Bar in Key West, but I cant remember the year.

Could it have been 1985?

I think I was with Mickey Mills in his Evolution outboard.

Maybe???

What happened to the design?

Give me ring sometime. Tell your better half, no need to find a Rottie at the moment. But, I'm always interested in a get together (on the Africat or not) next time you're in the city.

Too bad. Be interested to dust that design off...

If we don't speak before, have a great holiday. Let me know next time you're in the city.

PS: I think we need a CatFest '08 (more than just skater...which I know is sacreligious, but you need the ability to compare and contrast). I'll let you figure out the details and I'll show up and take credit for the idea, like a typical 'splasher'...
