I figured I'd load these vids on Youtube. This is a video of my motor on Precision Marine's dyno 2005, We were doing steady state pulls for tuning. One pull is holding it at 5800 the other is 6000rpm:eek: Holding it like that makes ya think its going to blow up:D

Sounds nice. We always end up testing in the boat when we program.

Thanks:drink:Mark at Precision Marine had the map right on, In the heat of August 98 degrees and 91 water temps it was a little fat at Idle, he took a few #'s out of it at idle only,We had the bungs in the exhaust for tuning and everything above idle did'nt need to be changed.Mark calls it safe, except the boost I'm running:rolleyes:

Sounds good strip

10 seconds on the dyno wide open seems like forever. I have a couple videos I need to upload that are about 30-40 seconds WOT on the dyno. It seems like you are torturing the engine untill you realize that is about how long it takes to get up to speed in the boat. Then you run it out for a few miles!!

You might as well "make a quick trip to the beach/cove" while on the dyno before installing it in the boat.

Excellent test, Strip :) Alot of folks don't realize that's the only way you're going to test octane requirements. A normal "quick" pull on a dyno doesn't mean anything except in drag racing or circle track stuff. Good job Mark. :)

can i try that with your engines now that there in the boat.
