My new to me 28 Apache
Well I finally took delivery of my new to me 28 Apache on Tuesday. It was hell trying to get it home and finish all the paperwork, but was well worth the wait. I basically bought this boat over the internet here on OSO sight unseen. It was listed here for about 1 week before I put down the deposit. Previous owners include Powerplaydave, and CFD5. Both were super nice guys and had a ton of info on the boat. She has been very well cared for, even by OSO standards. I'm extremely impressed with the overall condition of this boat. She's a 1990 and in mint condition. This boat was featured in the 1990 Miami boat show and still sports the original paint job. This is the only 28 that came with this particular paint job (or so I'm told) and I plan on keeping it that way because it still shows like new. She's got 454 mag 365hp's rebuilt to 450hp. Total hours on boat are estimated at around 225, with 25hrs on the rebuild. Top speed estimated in the upper 70's. Its a huge step up for me and my fiance. We had a 24 python and this will be our first twin engine boat. Its pretty much been a goal of mine since I was 16 and I first saw Flash Gordon fly across the lake at 170+mph. I saved every penny after I got out of college, roughly 4 years now. It truly is a dream come true and we could not be any more happy. I owe it all to the power of OSO. This site has brought upon a new era in buying boats where you can finally feel educated and comfortable in buying a used boat. Thankyou OSO.
Sorry about the night pics, I'm going to get some more tomorrow.

Thanks. Yes I do have to wait until spring to take her out. BUT I actually like having the extra time to go through it and make sure everything is 100%.
These are the pics featured in the OSO ad

Some more. The red dash played a big part in the purchase. I think it really ties in with the colors. I've never seen a 28 with the red dash. Most are black or white. The pic of the engines do not do it justice. They are like new. The interior is all original. Not bad for a 1990.

Last pic for now. Pretty much brand new 2006 sportline loadmaster trailer.
