The Latest 36 Sonic CC

I'm not a CC guy but did the graphics on this boat and went thru it end to end......

Very nice construction and rigging!

Not your typical cookie-cutter south Florida CC.

I dig the new CC's the new 4 stroke outboard power all the seating, I don't overnight hardly any at all anymore so all I need is a stand up head and small cuddy. Since you have hands on the new Sonic's how do they match up to boats like Intrepid, Deep Impact, Midnight Express.

mcraymond3 12-21-2007 07:54 PM

looks good to me!

cosmic12 12-21-2007 08:14 PM

mikebrls 12-21-2007 08:16 PM

Looks to be a better value than a Cigarette Top Fish or a Midnight at $400,000.

Nice thread Hijack.......................:hitfan:

dyno 12-23-2007 03:22 PM

I like the grafix dont think much of the eye shaped window..

GO4BROKE 12-23-2007 03:38 PM

Looks good, but fishing would get the boat dirty!

LapseofReason 12-23-2007 04:03 PM

For $250k they need to hang another motor on the back 3-300 Verados and we are getting close. I wouldn't buy new anyway.

mikebrls 12-23-2007 06:45 PM

250 k is msrp .. im sure you could take a good 20 to 30 % off that price and the boat would be yours :)

I have retail pricing, since a friend of mine is looking at one, and I think somebody just put the $250k in the ad to upload it and didn't finish editing. From what I can see it is a little high in the ad.

you just said it's the old Dakata hull and deck? appeared different at the Ft. Laud show.

Huh?

Yes, classy thread hijack Denny.

Actually thought it was tacky for Denny to promote the Concept boat on this thread when the first 42 hasn't even hit the water. The thread was started by another boat maker as a positive endorsement after seeing the boat/ rigging etc.

I wouldn't buy any CC that big for 250K but the Sonic is a pretty ride for someone in that market.

Promote on your own thread, especially from an advertiser.
Very unprofessional,:nhl_fight:

I see U modifying your post

FeverMike 12-25-2007 11:53 AM

This is the General Discussion area. I see people talking and or promoting other brands of boats in this section and others will chime in on what they fee is there favorite. I do not see what Denny did wrong. You all have some thin skin...go over to the Fountain section where the Active Blunder people love to post!

Anyway, back to the Sonic...I have not seen one in person but from the pictures and knowing this boat is a Dakota and knowing the size I think the pricing is WAY out of line at $250k. Even if you can get a discount of 20-30% like someone in this thread mentioned that is still high for a boat like this.

Very hard to see what was said, previous two post were deleted. Big difference between what a customer states and a manufacturer posts on someone elses thread. there is a fine line there. Also, not a Dakota based boat, one was at the Ft Laud show, and it did look different. I think the retail price is in line, not much different then what Concept charges retail...apples to apples.

This happens all the time. There are certain folks that do this same thing all the time and are never called out on it. Others are immediately punched in the sac over it. Depends who you are I guess. Reminds me of the old Trick threads. OSO is notorious for this type of behavior.

FeverMike 12-26-2007 09:01 PM

Mark, you are getting your moneys worth here...for sure! Anyway...yeah...don't you all know that Fountain threads are the only ones you are allowed to hi-jack? If you need a lesson on how to properly do this seek out the Active Blunder owners!:p

None the less, not your typical 'cookie-cutter' boat...

It's custom and it's not 'cheap'.

I simply posted something I thought was new and different.

And I was impressed with what I saw. You can turn the thread into whatever you want.

They just don't get it, why even try.:(

damdonzi 12-29-2007 09:16 AM

From what I recall of the Dakota, it had very low freeboard. Has this changed Since Sonic got the hull?
