Saw my old boat
 

Strange thing happened on Saturday. I was pulling into a mall that has Bass Pro Shops and right in front of me was a little red and white boat on a trailer that looked really familiar. I pulled up, got out, and sure enough, it was the 16 Donzi I had sold last July. I hunted down the used boat sales guy and asked how they came to have her. He said the owner traded her for a Mako. Too bad. She'll probably go to rot before a place like that sells her. Anyone here want a little Donzi? She's not perfect anymore, but still in pretty good shape.

Probably look real nice with a seat mounted to the bow and a couple of bolt on rod holders on the sides ;)

Oh yeah? I've got a worse story about previous boats. I see mine in Holland, MI now and then. It's a RENTAL!!!! And it's absolutely trashed. It was a really clean boat when I sold it, low hours, clean, nothing broken, etc.... Now it's trash.

I know someone who is interested in a sewwt 16 for the deck of his yacht.

I've got a sweet 16 here at the marina..just used by my parter and myself for rides up the lake on sunday afternoons (nice little perk) White with red stripe on a red eagle trailer V8...runs 57 on speedo great little boat...if you want it let me know The Boatworks 716-487-9095 Boat stickered new for approx $20,000 + trailer will let go for alot less. should have full warranty. I have window sticker around here somewhere...chip

A freind of mine called on Friday to ask me some questions about a Donzi he saw at Bass Pro Shops. What a small world.

Warp - get him in touch with me. I can vouch for all but the last 6 months of its life. Did he say what they're asking? I didn't feel right asking them.

Warp - That's about what I expected, when you factor in the dealer mark-up. Not unreasonable, if everything is really still working.

For anyone who actually gets interested in her, knock $500 off that price right off if the gray cover isn't with her - it cost $800 when I had it made.

I'm annoyed at the guy, but I'm having a great time trying to sell her for the second time. :D That boat goes and Bass is going to owe me a commission! (Bet their sales guys don't have a clue about Donzis. Mine didn't, and he was a Donzi dealer.)
