Don't buy anything till you try out one of these. They are lighter, faster and proven safe hull design.

Nothing wrong with Velocities if that is what one likes, but I hope that you are not suggesting that Donzi's or Cig's hulls are unsafe! .... Jamie

IMO... THEY SAY VELOCITYS ARE SAFER THEN SOME OF THE BOATS MENTIONED BECAUSE OF THE STEP FREE HULL, ALSO VERY FAST WITH MILD POWER, LOTS OF FREEBOARD
(AGAIN COMPARED TO SOME OF THE OTHER BOATS MENTIONED) AND IMO AN ALL AROUND GREAT BOAT FOR THE $$$$.... I WISH THAT 29 WAS FOR SALE WHEN BOUGHT MINE THAT THING IS SWEET!!!!!!!!

There are different driving techiques to operate a step hull over a non step hull @ speed.. Some people like it & others dont, they are really not an unsafe boat, they just need to be operated differently.. Its a matter of preference.. But there are definitley some benefits of a step hull, like ride, speed & fuel efficency.. I have owned both step & non step hulls & personally prefer the step hull as rule.. Again, I wasnt bashing Velocity, everybody has a boat that they like for their own reasons.. Just like cars.. Jamie / Lakeside

Well it is proven that cig's cause all sorts of heart and lung problems and I did catch the clap on my Donzi 28zx. I haven't had any of these problems with Velocity.
