jeff1000man 01-01-2008 02:18 PM

That boat has been for sale for at least a year. :(

f311fr1 01-01-2008 06:56 PM

It belongs to Hot Duck on here.

Semper Fi 01-01-2008 10:13 PM

I can't believe somebody hasn't purchased this boat at this price!!

Hot Duck 01-01-2008 11:44 PM

I have had three deposits over the last year and all three deals fell through. Everybody that actually came to see the boat left a deposit to hold it. People are having a hard time with financing for some reason. I had a new survey done on 12/28/07 and the market value the surveyor gave was $215K with a replacement value at $500K. This is a perfect example of how bad the market is right now!

Jupiter Sunsation 01-02-2008 07:34 AM

19 year olds look great but can get real expensive for a married guy!

Best of luck to you selling the boat

I wish I could afford it. Good luck also.

Dude! Sweet! 01-02-2008 12:29 PM

Will, maybe we can work something out to get you your old Pantera back... Dang now where did I put that ski mask! :D

BraceYourself 01-02-2008 12:51 PM

No disrespect, but buying that boat is the cheapest part, maintaing it will be the killer. A lot of maintence compared to new ones. At that price it is a steal...

O.C.Barry 01-02-2008 01:49 PM

45' Apache

I've said it before, the boat is one of the coolest Apache's ever built, it is the only 45' factory built Apache, and I've been on it, it is a wave-crusher.

Someone's going to snap it up at some point. With the engine's it has and the #6 drives, the boat is just about priced at the drivetrain cost.

Barry

The mortgage crisis can't be helping your cause... :(

Hopefully you meet up with someone soon that can write you a check. Good luck with the sale, great looking boat!

open87 01-02-2008 06:46 PM

thought you had er sold...that really sucks..that is so much "real boat" for the money..

what about the miami show , should sell there considering people will drop 500k on a potato chip or is it going to ed's?

Hot Duck- have you thought of bringing it to the Miami show and showing it for sale? It's a VERY impressive boat. It will definately get alot of attention.

See if you can "squeeze" in some builders dockspace and have it in the water. (I realize I use the word "squeeze" very lightly since it is a Huge machine :))

HOT DUCK nice boat & rig good luck ,hope the market turns around real quick

The market on that boat is pretty much irrelevant, as with most redone older boats. The people that are spending $150k are buying new Baja's or similar with 525's, full factory warranty's, and financing them for 20 years in many cases. If some of these folks so much as dinged a #6 prop, much less had a major failure on your boat, the boat would likely sit. The remaining people with real cash can afford a newer boat of similar size.

The boat is hot! Someone wants it and will buy it.

You probably can't since there are manufacturers that have trouble getting space in that show. You could have a chance with a broker who has in water space reserved already.

Being how rare that boat is I would think anyone in the market would know the market and realize that it is a turn key package for 150K whereas some people think a 47 hull is worth 125K. I also think the towability might be an issue for most.

Jupiter Sunsation is right. There is a waiting list every year for floor space, tent space, and slips. (Getting into a tent w/ a 10x10 booth is not too hard though.) You MAY have a chance with one of the bigger yacht brokers, but unlikely. Most of the logistics are already wrapped up. You might try to get a listing of brokers from the Miami Boat Show site. http://www.miamiboatshow.com/

I'd get in touch with Bobby, TnT, Mindi at Doller, Mark McManus, Pat Sullivan at Performance Marine in Pompano, and whoever/whatever shop that just rejuvenated another Apache as highlighted in the Apache forum. All of these folks are in the business of rejuvenating boats with solid history AND potential into new works of art and performance, and they know people that have checkbooks that require wheels; with interest in said projects.

What happened to the race team that was interested in the boat/rig?

We've got a couple slips for AT. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for you.

Maybe bring it to the Miami show and cruise around the docks with a big 4 sale sign and ph # on it-- I have seen this before at the Miami show!!!

Like everyone else said - there's probably no room for that beast, but ask around some of the smaller dealers if they have the room (possiblity-you never know if you don't ask) Your boat would definately draw attention and a crowd wherever it is. This could bring traffic their way :)

Thats what Randy Sweers had Larry Goldman do in a 43 Nortech in 2005. He was actually taking people for a test ride and was picking them up at the show, but just went in and out the docks before and after he did.

Put a full page add in the FL.Boat trader when the boat show is in town. If you need a place to keep it you can use my dock.

The Borkerage Show is on Collins Ave (http://www.showmanagement.com/yacht_...ow_2008/event/)
, which is where used boats are sold, and is a seperate entity from the manufactures show at Sea isle, bayside and the converntion center.
