He was racing with his wife. She starting bitcching at him to slow down and that he was going the wrong way so he threw her overboard?

was there that year racing as well. I think the rumor was alan was only one to show up to boat, westbury was out or late. so he ran the boat by himself. Not sure if above is 100% but its pretty close to that. he did run the boat the race by himself.
