Is it dry like Cumberland?
The biggest knock on Cumberland IMO. But one heck of a time. Lots of big ramps and open areas to open the big boats up. :cool-smiley-026: |
I just started the planning for a trip to Lake Powell, going to rent a 48' house boat and a small runabout.

Lake Texoma placed a spot in Powerboat Magazine's top 10 places to live and boat. Best striper fishing in the U.S., huge open spans, sandy beaches and numerous islands make it a hot spot.

All of Lake Cumberland is dry. The nearest alcohol is TN or Lexington, KY area. Dale Hollow is wet on the TN side. Lake Cumberland is down about 40 feet from normal for repairs on the dam. Lake Laniner in GA. is down a bunch. Do a thread search.

I have boated on kentucky lake, lake cumberland and LOTO. LOTO has more places to eat, drink and boats than the other two combined. All the lakes are fun to run just bring lots of alchol if planing a trip to Kentucky lake or cumberland.

You can't go wrong with LOTO.

I don't think you can go wrong with Cumberland. It is my home away from home in the summer and I should be able to answer any questions you could have about the place. Shoot me a # in a pm and I will get right back with you.

Another vote for LOTO! Yeah, it's a long tow but it's worth every mile! :cool-smiley-026: and I tow out from Maine.
Someday I'm gonna move there. These Maine winters are killing me (-14 degrees this morning) |
