This one PB120118.JPG I was able to open at one point and it was too out of focus. I just tried to open the other one and I am getting an internal error from Yahoo.
Now I can't open or download either one of them.
Maybe try sending the 1st pic again as I didn't get a chance to see that one and perhaps another one or two if you have them...

Thanks!

Nothing calendar-worthy because I am usually on the boat... I did re-size one for him that he will be sending you.

I know there are a lot to look at in those links... so here are a couple of the more interesting action shots that I think might work. Just let me know if you need hi-rez of any of em.

I like both of those, real cool one of Zach OL, by the way he has that one for sale. He is taking delivery of this new OL at the show next month.
I need a total of 25 pictures, I will use a mix of Sharkey's yours and some that the members have been sending me. Leave your name in the corner of the pic. like Sharkey is doing that way everyone can tell who took these awesome shots.
If you guys are interested, I would like to do one every year so the Make-A-Wish kids will get their money and people can see that Performance Boaters really do care!

Jassman,

I uploaded the pics you sent me. They are a bit small in size, but maybe the printer can use them for say an inset picture. I don't feel they are large enough to get a full page out them.

JB,

Anything for the kids.

OSS is doing their part as well ! :

OSS TEAMS UP WITH THE MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION

OSS racers have been known to be a charitable group and this year during the World Championship races in Destin Florida, the teams got to show their spirit of giving. In a partnership with the Make-A-Wish foundation, two local families came to the races and got to experience it first hand, inside the Geico helicopter. During the awards, the teams generously donated over $8000 to the Make-A-Wish foundation that will help to make another child's wish come true. We hope that we gave these two families a break from their ritual of running to doctors and hospitals. We truly enjoyed having them be a part of our event.

Watch this Video - Thanks to Tom McKnight

Dear Offshore Super Series:

We thank Offshore Super Series for choosing the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and Northern Florida as your charity partner for the 2007 race held in Destin, FL in November. We greatly appreciate your dedication to raising the funds needed to grant a wish of a child with a life-threatening medical condition and for giving two of our wish children the opportunity to experience the races in a very special way. Both families had such an incredible time meeting everyone, riding in the helicopter over the gulf, seeing the boats up close and being a part of such a great event. This incredibly unique experience will not be forgotten for both Kevin and Carlton. They are so thankful that you thought of including them during the weekend and will always cherish the time you put forth to make it all happen. Life can become very stressful when a child and his or her family spend days in the confines of a hospital room. Your support gives a child the chance to be a kid again-to smile, dream, and cherish unforgettable experiences.

On behalf of all our wish kids, thank you for your support and sharing in the power of a wish.

Sincerely,

Alicia Carby:: development specialist

More from OSS:

Dear OSS Racers,

I was so touched with the time I had with Kevin and Carlton.

The whole weekend was great for the families to dismiss their worries...

We were able to do a little "behind the scenes" with the racers and there families.

We walked around the pits stopping to visit with some. Mike Stancombe got Kevin up in the boat. Helmet and all. Needless to say Kevin left with huge smile and PEPPERS the sure win for him...Then, the cranes area. How cool was that to see the racers getting ready for the big race. Boats in water we walked the docks to say our good lucks.... Scotty Begovich got Carlton in the Geico boat for a real feel in the water...Tony Wiese (World of Powerboat magazine) was available to give some interesting facts about the world of offshore as he walked around with us. With hatches open... Bob Owen explained a lot of the engines and about the different classes they would be watching. Ah, and to hear them fire up right in front of you!!! Next, lunch.... right at a table with the famous Hooters Race Team. Steve Page and Joey Gratton shared their excitement of winning this race while Celeste (Page racing) and Tom (Geico) brought on the food. I watched as the families sat, enjoying there lunch and sharing personal stories they each had endured. That is when I realized how special this was to invite them here and be part of it ALL...

Carlton got to see the more serious side at the drivers meeting. Leading us in prayer with Jim Black, and then the stern voice of chief referee, Mike Tomlinson and the importance of safety on the course.

The fun didn't stop there...as we drove to the airport I asked if they'd be just sleeping in this Sunday morning...or How about a going up in a helicopter. I was just as excited... The Angels greeted us as they were getting geared up for there flight. They got a crash course by David and the pilot and off they went.

The time up in the air watching their faces is a memory I'll never forget.

I think they were touched by everyone for a short time, but with memories to last forever. Thanks to the OSS staff and racers for making this happen....

Sincerely,

Donna Owen

(Donna is the wife of OSS inspector Bob Owen; and volunteered her time and talents to escort the MAW families around during the Destin World Cup)

That is great Sharkey, I'm so impressed when people go out of their way like this to help the kids.
My hat is off to the OSS people!
