I guess I know now why all the yachts never go any where, they just stay at the dock all weekend.

You can also call your credit card company and have them bump the purchase limit up. Most cards are preset to shut off at the pump at either $75 or $100. It's a fraud protection. My dispensers are set to run up to $350 per sale as long as the "pay inside" option is selected.

I filled up at Wawa last summer. I was bone dry 72 gallons had to reset the bump 3 times. The dumb azz clerk came out and said that because I was taking up to spots I had to leave. That sorry employee cost the owner a lot of money. I have to drive pass that Wawa every time I put my boat in the water. But now I drive an extra 10min out of the way to go to another station that is O'so happy to take my money:D

Ok, so when someone needs their boat moved I hope that no one will complain of the price due to the fuel
Thanks for the reference tip this week. |
chris, I had 30 10 car haulers and they got 4.3 mpg not 8. but to a point you are right. BUT what is happening is that trucking has not had any raises for a long time so the companies (trucks) are using this for there cost of living raise.

I boated a total of 30hrs this year..that is it. Normally I am around a 80-100hr a year boater. Boating has become too much of a pain in the azz to deal with.

I got a call from the bank fraud dept after filling up my truck and boat at the gas station. Heck, I hadn't even left the pump yet talk about being on the ball!
|
We had a decent 2007 as far as boating went, but when gas got close to the $4 a gallon range we all tied up and did the big party......$10 for a 12 PK of brew, or $150 worth of fuel....it was a no brainer for us and normally getting the boat out is fun, even if we just go out a bit and tie up with 4 or 5 others, its the party/friendships that counts.
