Halogen lighting hides all the imperfections better than flourescent light...it hides the swirls better gives the finish a WET look ....... most car dealers use them for that reason.

I put the compact fluorescents (the ones the shape of an incandescent) in my house garage and I do not like them at all. The ones I have are dim for the first 5 minutes and even after that time it is not very good light. I will be replacing them with fluorescent tubes sometime.
