Default Tampa / St. Pete Waterfront Restaurant

The wife and I will be meeting another couple in the Tampa / St. Pete area in a couple of weeks. We are looking for a nice waterfront restaurant where we can meet, have lunch and spend the afternoon just relaxing and having a few adult beverages. Any suggestions??????

The best place is the Hurricane on St. Pete Beach. My wife and I go every year...GREAT views and great food. Their specialty: fried grouper sandwiches ! You can check it out at TheHurricane.com.
We also like Billy's Stonecrabs located in Terra Verde. You can't go wrong with either of these...

Not open for lunch but if mid afternoon/diner Salt Rock Grill on the ICW is good food. Tampa spot is Jacksons on Davis island is pretty cool spot.

The best island style seafood resturant on the St. Pete to Clearwater coast is Guppy's on Indian Rocks Beach. TRUST ME on this one.

I am die hard Gator fan so it pains me to say it ....but the food at Gators is really not very good IMHO. Philthy Philis is OK, but we ate there about a year ago and the tarter must have been bad because everyone that had tarter on their grouper sandwich (3 of us did , 2 didn't) got way sick ....food poison style. I know stuff happens but that keeps me from recommending it.

Woody's in St Pete is a good place but nowhere to tie up a boat. Usually go there on the bikes.
