Lightning Custom Boats?
 

Any opinions? I'm looking at a 2005 29xs with low hours but haven't seen many of these. Anyone have experience with this boat builder?

They are a small boat builder out of Florida. I have seen him post and sell boats on S&F.

if your talking about lightning power boats in bradenton fl,John C .. i have seen some really nice ones and some ok, they kinda build them how you stout you want it. the rigging is done by Jeff and he does awsum work

I think he is talking about the new Las Vegas company......with the little cat that looks like a Nor Tech....

Looks like these guys are in Lake View Terrace, CA according to their website. The build 50-100 boats/year and have been in bus. since 1998. Ring any bells?

Dont know how accurate this info is but a few years back Ultra Custom Boats (CA) had a sub division line called Lightening.....the division was sold off to a CA builder who was building them separate from Ultra for a few years....try calling Ultra for some info if its the same company I am talking about.

The Lightning boats in Florida builds small center consoles and I believe small hydro's. The guy use to live in my neighborhood. He brought a 28 CC with twin 250xs outboards on a neighborhood boat run and that thing would hit 80mph. Although there was not much to it so it was really light. Driven1 on this board looked into them but never bought a boat.

Lightening built hydro's, they made copies of STVs..

Yep, he also had a mold for a 28 center console too. The guy use to live in my subdivision but I have not seen him or his 28 CC in a year.
