A few footnotes

:

1) This is exactly why I refuse to "donate" money to a web/forum. In the end you wind up paying for a service. A result developed from a home grown effort built w/donations is transformed to a crappy NASDAQ ticker symbol.:Whatever:

2) Who said this? "Never, ever, make the hobby you enjoy into your business. It will ruin it for you.". As a matter of opinion, WRONG!

3) Prepare, in time, for OSO to take on more of an AOL look+feel, a/w/a a yearly subscription policy.:signs035:

4) The true value of site's like this is the users, inclusive of the sysop(s). Once corporate entity's are involved, MONEY is the primary value.:ernaehrung004:

5) Never really liked the UI for this site, it's kind of clunky and crappy. Although the graphics are pretty good!:signs069:

6) Wouldn't have found my boat w/o OSO! @ a minimum, thanks for that!:party-smiley-020:

We know it, we just don't realize it. I've been thinking for a while now.

Forums are very powerful. Have something popular? Find the forum for it, find out what products work, don't work.. what faults there are, ect. Get a few guys using your product, and they all will advertise for you for free helping everyone else out. Theres already is big money being made from forums, my guess is IB wants to buy everyone before someone else gets the same idea.
