How about the insurance on twins or triples.

They bone you on insurance on trips especially here in Florida.
I have trips and absolutely love them. Unless you are at WFO, fuel consumption is rather economical. We do some long trips with some cruisers. One guy has a 32 Searay with twin 6.2's and stern drives. It absolutely kills him when we pull in a marina and fuel up and I have to purchase less than 5% more fuel than him. He gets so pi**ed every time. Maintenance is not that much more. I have run 200+ hours and the only problem with drives was a shift cable problem twice on the same drive. The security of knowing if one goes down, I can still get on plane and cruise at a reasonable speed home. Had a 38 with twins before. If one went down, it was a long ride home. I will stick with trips! |
