No offense, Slo, but I doubt seriously that he's going to get Tanner to drop the price on that beautiful Top Gun or Ocean Performance to drop that Gladitor to 115K or under (20K and 35K respectively). I understand it may be a buyers market but......

However, they are both great looking and performing boats that would be very nice to have in the boat slip.

New 25ft Liberator cat. Same bottom as 24 Skater. It has 99 300 Promaxs on it now for $70K or new 250XS's for $86K, or 300XS's for $90K. All these motors run over 100 mph. It's the 2nd boat down here:

Question

-I'm open to a cat or a V
-Open to 28-36ft
-I don't care about holeshoting(i'd rather keep my outdrive)

I don't know much about the smaller more "custom" manufacturers. Im just looking for peoples .02 cents and open to anything. I appreciate all your guys input and just wanted to say thanks for building a wealth of knowledge and experience on this site.
This statement puts you all over the map! You need to pick cat or v to get help on what boat fits your needs. You say you don't need a cabin and your not going offshore? Maybe you need a bass boat with a 300 on the back. Like mentioned did you check cat insurance? Do you care what size motor? Do you want a step bottom? Need more info to help you out

Slorp Train, by all means check out the Superboat 30 Y2K, with a single BB you will be running in any type of water. Depending on the options you will be well within your budget. This hull is a true performer !!!

I couldn't agree more. I figured with the dollar amount spent that a cat would be faster with the same power. I've been trying to research cat vs v's but really can't find informative info, its all this is better no thats better stuff. so for me a at this time am not definative on which hull to go with. I also have trouble deciding between single and twins, i love having the ability to get home if something happens to 1 engine but at the same time any upgrades cost you twice as much. Another thing is that i did not realize that cat insuraunce was that much more than a v nor that you can also finance a used boat for 20 years. If insuarance is managable is there any down side to a cat and or a high hp single?
