24' Fountain Anyone ?

Does anyone own one ? or have some pic's....Or pro's and con's....

I had a 94 w a 502... wish i never sold it. loved it. above 2 footers hold the F on. nice lake boat. That boat with a 525 would easily be 90+. mine ran 79 in a light chop.

How do they handle at those speeds?

They look like they would be great fun on rivers and small lakes, but a bit pricey for what they are.

75 and below on rails... trimmed out to the max was wild. I would take that boat against any other 24... just have to drive it...

Dkerns,Thanks for the pic,I think they have great lines....I am keeping my eye out for one but it has to be the right one.And also the more info on them and the history the better.Due to the fact its going to be a second boat for us and something I will keep for long time (I hope). After sell our sonic and now making the boss happy (If momma aint happy):rolleyes:we are now in the comfort zone.I need something to burn around in....:D

A buddy of mine has one. He bought it new in 1996, 454 Magnum runs 70. I've spent a lot of time in it, very solid ride. Well built, no stress cracks.

As mentioned above, it's a lake boat but works pretty well as long as its not too sloppy.

He's been talking of selling since his family has outgrown this boat. Might be a good one for you, fresh water only about 350 orig hrs. Colors are white with teal US-1 graphics.

Biggus, I would take a look...How or what is it compairable to say like a 18 or 22 Donzi? or Checkmate? I have never personlly seen one out running....Or even ran into anyone who owns one....

Mine was same colors except "ribbon" graphics.... teal and lipstick I think they were called. I traded mine in 03 to Pier 57.

masher44 01-29-2008 01:54 PM

I drove a 454 and a 502 before I bought the 502 one... it is night and day difference in stock form. I pounded that 502 hard and it was a great set up.... Bravo One outdrive and I matted it every day.

Having owned both, 18-22 Donzi Classics, it's a totally different boat. I guess a good analogy would be a Baja H2X or the Donzi 22ZX

I'll try to look him up this weekend, he's got a vacation home up here.

Answers my question. Two 22ZX's for sale and the dealer will do financing, which I like and need. I've seen a Fountain like the one pictured that the owner will finance, so was thinking of looking between these two deals....... Make payments and get newer better boats! :D

Thats what I was looking for....Ive been in and drove both the 18 and the 22 Donzi,And have heard the 22ZX is a drivers boat at speed....How do think or have you run a 22 Velocity and compaired with.....??There is a fella around my area that runs the 22 Velocity and Ive seen it handle some snotty stuff pretty good (Northren Chesapeake Bay)..

baddogz28 01-29-2008 02:54 PM

Just throwing another option out there in that size range.
OH, and mine is NOT FOR SALE at the moment - just thought it might be something to consider.
Good luck in the search. - everything you've mentioned sound like good options.
