Bunch Of Questions

Well I’m about ready to pull the trigger on a 38ZR Donzi. (Well I’m going to wait for the boat show) (ok I lied if the wife likes the color of the boat then maybe ….)
Anyway I’ve look a lot and have read more than I care to about different boats different builders, everything you could think of and well here is the boat I like…

07 38ZR (2) staggered Merc 700 sci with NXT drives
Equipment:
Teague 450 tips exhaust
Convenience Package (AC Panel, Battery Charger, Shore Power)
Daytona Package (Lab finished props, 3 man stand up back bolster, mb quart stero, extended trim tabs, Inferno graphics, performance galley)
Head pump out
And a bunch of other little things.

It also comes with the Livorsi data tach and elec system.

Anyway I’M IN FOVOR of everything but I’m not real sure about the NXT drives. I keep hearing about the #6 drives that everyone likes. But can’t find out much on the NXT drive. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about this boat. And or anything good or bad about this engine and drive package.

Thanks again
:evilb:

Perfect boat with the perfect package!! Good luck on the purchase!!! Your going to love the boat and the NXT's!

Yes I hav ethe performance numbers from teh factory and that set up will do over 100mph. The sale guy says closer to 110mph. but I'm taking that as sales talk. but I know she will push 100+ just how much over 100 will be up to the conditions of the air and water rather than the boat.

The Zr's are excelent boats. That is a great package and will definitely get you over 100mph (103-105) no problem and maybe a couple more. The NXT's are holding up well on the Zr's. A warrantied bullet proof 100+ mph package. Go for it!

Tom, Thank you so very much for the info. I'm really excited about it. Like I said I'm going to take teh wife up to look at it and if everything goes well. I'll be taking a performance driving course soon and be pushing this boat to see what she has

You will absolutely love that boat!! Where will you boat at? Any good water around there? That boat will eat up rough water.

Boat Boy: The 700 package on the 38ZR are an excelent match, The X dimension on the ZR is perfect and with the weight of the ZR they have not had issues with the NXTs when I was a Donzi dealer I sold 3 with the 700s and all three run great, with the extra weight of the 700 package the boat likes the extra weight and handles real nice, after 100mph she does have a little chine but thats to be expected out of a 38ft boat actually almost 39ft. you won't be sorry.

The 2008 Mercury price list I'm looking at does not show the #6 available with the 700SCI or 600SCI, but does show it as option on 525EFI..strange. If it can be ordered that way will be about 24K more than NXT 1. NXT's not been out that long, have not heard any long term reports.
