Unfortunately the only ones I have are running along side you about 80 mph. No offense MC, but I think you could have done a little better on the sticks during this shoot. ;)

Yes I did. I thought I was clear, because they said they would notify me within 30 days. Then in Nov. comes a TOTAL BS, letter full of lies about how it all happened. It stated that I could pay a $1000 fine or contest it but then they could also raise the fine. Sounds like extorsion(spelling) to me, but what can you do.

Fine for what?

The fine is because we scared the chit out of them and they didn't have the scenerio played out in their security plan. It was a fairly narrow channel and we came around the corner(quickly) and there it was. This pic shows the distance, and there was another boat inside us. Two local police boats escorted the group from the docks to a mile before we came across the sub. They peeled off and told us to run! They didn't know the sub was there either. You would think that they would notify the harbour master before they come in.

The local police boats were leading the fun run as a safety measure(I guess) and they stopped and told the rest of us to hit it and we did:D It was the Coast Gaurd and Navy that thought we were too close or speeding(no speed limits) or whatever scared them. I guess the local PD and the Coast Gaurd do not communicate with each other???

How many people on OSO have ever seen a sub pulling into the harbour? We sure haven't seen one before. Randy Scism was with us and he has countless hours of seat time all over the world and he's never seen one. The whole situation was total BS:angry-smiley-038:
