Friends of ours were on a cruise out of Florida. On there way they felt the Ship come to a stop . The Captain announced they were requested to help out a small boat . Turned out to be a center console full of Cubans . They had run out of fuel .The boat was stolen from Florida run to Cuba and couldn't make it back to Florida . Their were people swimming in different directions . What a mess . The people were all brought on board and held in lockup untill they were released at some port . I would like to know what happened to the center console . I wonder how many stolen boats end up in situations like this ?

Boat was taken to Big Pine, outfitted with a couple spare drums of fuel, and used to make smuggling runs either back to S FL or to Mexico... MASSIVE problem anywhere in S Fla these days. 10k a head makes folks a bit more ballsy. IMO the wet foot dry foot crap needs to end..
Sorry to hear of the loss..
