Default Florida: A Boating Paradise!

Just got back from a few days in Orlando for business. What a beautiful place! Everything is green (as opposed to dirt and rocks here in Vegas) with water everywhere. Went to Daytona on Sunday and caught the last 30 minutes of the Rolex 24 hour race won by Scott Pruit and Team Ganassi. Toured the NASCAR museum and took a drive on the beach.

What is the river / bay the I-4 crosses about halfway between Daytona & Orlando? Man, it was so pretty, I wanted to fly home and tow my boat back just to get in the water. Weather was rainy Sat night but warmed up to probably 70 the next couple days.

It's been about 5 years since I've been out there and forgot how nice it is. Should have stayed a couple weeks and gone down south!

On Daytona Beach.

They actually give you sea reports on the local news (4 - 6's that day!).

Stayed at the Disney Caribbean Resort. They had a small lake there but I bet I could have got my boat out on it!

Yep,
It's a boating paradise, and just plain paradise everyday. I work in Orlando, but we live on Merritt Island, 39 mile commute 1 way, and worth every $ of gas

Yeah....that's Lake Monroe to the east, and the St. Johns river to the west which turns north and runs all the way to the Atlantic through Jacksonville.
