If you are only going to tow around town then any I beam trailer will work. If you are going to tow (I mean pay me to bring your boat from Ohio to Miami) then you need a myco or something similar

I have one for my boat. It's a 15,000lb one with elec/hyd disk brakes. With the upgrades and radial tires, it was about $7500.Bigchubby is right on.

I payed extra and had them build it with full length I-beams (I hate the look when they stop at the back of the third axle) and a removable drive guard. I wouldn't be afraid to trailer it a long distance with this trailer, but if it was going to be more than once or twice a year.... Myco would be my choice. My boat sits on the lift during the season (unless it's broken) and on the trailer during the winter.

i have seen all the trailers mentioned above and agree with bgchuby01. if you are towing alot of distance buy a myco . remember you get what you pay for.

I bought a Hi Tech and thought it was a good trailer I towed the bullet from Sarasota to Lake Cumberland and it towed great. I bought it through "Allison Marine" Bill I think was his name he was around here a few years back calling them Allison Trailers he was full of it, he promised me all kinds of stuff and never delivered after figuring out that Hi Tech built the trailer and getting there phone number they were great to deal with and took care of any issues I had.

I bought mine right after that. That guy Bill was getting people to order them from him (Allison Hi-Tech) and then ordering the trailers from Hi-Tech. I just bypassed him and had a good experience.

Check out Phoenix aluminum trailers, much better built, center bunks, and haven't seen one spring yet. We've got Hi-techs too, wouldn't own one for free!!!!!

http://mcclaintrailers.com/channel/ B u B beat me to 'em :D

While there are exceptions, the majority of I-beam trailers I've seen are all the same. They look like they've been bolted together from a parts catalog. About the only thing you "probably" can't get from the catalog are the I-beams.

One thing I noticed on an All American trailer this past weekend was the orange-ish poly pads on the V bow stop; probably a real "nice to have" since they are non-marking I think. What I like about the McClain is they use square tube instead of channel for the vertical bunk supports. Plus they have a cool step guide for stepped hulls.

I was pulling on a Nextrail I-beam...It was like a lipstick on a pig or a pair of tennis shoes with a tux.
The reverse/backup lights on the trailer are friggin' cool...

Same with me - I got a great price on the trailer for my 33 Powerplay through Allison Bill, ended up having to detour from my CT to Miami trip through Panama City because the trailer wasn't delivered to Miami in time and I had to pick it up at Hi Tech. Hi Tech came through, and I couldn't be happier with the trailer. Is a Myco nicer? Absolutely, but for $4,500 (and I actually think I paid less), I have no complaints with the Hi Tech. The trailer has all stainless hardware, triple axle, disc brakes on all wheels, removeable spindles, spare tire, toolbox, LED taillights, etc. etc. I've used it a lot in all salt water and moved the boat between Florida, CT, and upstate NY, and never had any negative experiences or close calls because of its I beam construction or surge brakes. For those of you highly recommending the Myco, out of curiousity, what are your concerns with I beam trailers? I guess I kind of look at this as a Corvette ZO6 vs. Ferrari 360 kind of debate. Yes, the Ferrari is definately nice, but the Corvette gets the same exact job done...
