A 38 Gun costs 35K, don't know how I know that, but I had this exact conversation with someone and was told that is what it costs Cigarette. Again I didn't pay the bills so it may be not exact.

Do one, then let us all know how it works out.

First of all, you're not going to buy materials at the same cost as a builder. Second, consumables, waste and mistakes are going to drive the prices up significantly.

This assumes you don't screw it up and make a big, sticky, stringy mess.

Hey Sunken, he might use resin infusion so there won't be a mistake, and he might have a line on some glass all the defunked manufacturers have to sell, and then count his labor as free, he might pull it off. I'm hopeing that with all your contacts (you seem to know everybody and everything about everything) you'll get me a deal.

He is asking for labor and materials...hence he is NOT trying to do it himself. 30K is not that far off probably more like 40k tho. Toughest thing will be finding good talent close to the molds. Talk to a place like viciousmarine.com or Joker powerboats to get some honest numbers.

Keep in mind that is only the start of costs!!! Rigging, drives, motor, interior, etc. is where the real $$$ will go.
