Cat vs V
Does it cost more to build a Cat vs V hulls. An example being a 27 foor Nordic Thor vs 28 foot Nordic Heat.Or a Eliminator cat vs their Eagle V hull.If they have same engine drive combos why do the cats seem to cost so much more?

If you compare apples to apples they aren't more expensive at all. Go check the price on a brand new 46 Outerlimits or Rough Rider vs a 46 Skater or 44 MTI with equal power.

A cat costs significantly more to build then a V bottom. First off the surface area of the hull bottom of a 27' Cat is nearly twice that of a 27' V. Secondly a cat has a ton of 90 degree or tighter turns (i.e. sponson deadrise to vertical) with very tight radiuses. All of this translates into a much more complicated layup process along with a more complicated coring package. When you take the center pod out of the equation the layup becomes somewhat less complicated but still more surface area and still more direction changes then a V.
If you could actually charge for the difference in cost, The cat would be much more costly then a V of similar size (more so then they already are). Hope this helps.
