Yes, we are going. Should be quite interesting!

gerritm 02-02-2008 08:54 AM

Who did Kenny buy it from? That is sweet, I'm going to need a faster boat. What motors?

BY U BOY 02-02-2008 09:48 AM

Today should be even nicer out.

Looks like a great day on the lake. Can't wait to get out there.

I hit 7mph plowing the driveway today.
South sounds good to me!

Yes, but bought from Pier 57.

legacy 02-02-2008 08:41 PM

thats what I thought, I've seen it before, It's really a strong runner

THLWL 02-02-2008 08:53 PM

I also have another buddy with a 42 OL with 1100 KE's. I hear a lot about the battle between OL and Fountain. After this weekend, all I can say is that they are both very good boats. I also can't get over how stable both are.

txriverrat2001 02-02-2008 09:40 PM

It was nice out today - the river was pretty slow - figured there would be more out.

I pulled Waynes NorTech out this morning - unfortunately only to work on the Northstar 6000I's and make a list of things we need to do before next month.

Did you get the BT out? Is she ruinnin like you want it to?

C ya soon!

Wow me to, at least Kenny is sticking in the Fountain family, maybe I should sell mine and just buy his fuel:D Kenny told me a while back he was wanting a bigger boat than the 35 he had, guess he also wanted faster to!!

I'll take the August heat over the winter snow every time. Gen & A/C a must though. 12 month boating season! Sweet

Congrats on the new boat. I spent a lot of time on that boat. It will run the number. Be safe!

fountaindriver 02-03-2008 10:33 PM

The boat will run 135 MPH making 1100 HP on pump gas with Herring props. If you put the 1350 HP pulley's on the blowers, be certain you run fresh race fuel and run some bigger props.

I hope you enjoy the boat and like Matt said, Be Safe.

Eddie

Eddie, get your azz out to the Havasu poker run this year!! You've been saying you've wanted to for a couple of years now. This is the year, DO IT!:drink:

If he decides he would like to make it "LOOK" as good as it "RUNS", then have him give me a call. I would be happy to discuss options with him.

I never ran the smaller pulley's, the 135 number was on pump gas.

As it was

fountaindriver 02-04-2008 11:31 AM

I had the Herring props on it and I believe I was running 6000 - 6200 RPM's. Actually, the Herrings have the same diameter and pitch as the Mercury props now on the boat.

Eddie, did you ever run it with race fuel? I was thinking the 34 gal. rear tanks would work to try it once. The boat owner has a buddy with larger props also. We'd just need to get the correct smaller pulleys. We'd also need a supply of Depends!

Mixing in some good fuel is cheap insurance, well not that cheap but you know what I mean.

H2Xmark 02-04-2008 10:12 PM

i guess this will make the fastest V bottom in the club now

I was out on Clear Lake and the Bay on Saturday to test the new blades. Finishing up washing the boat at Endeavour and saw Kenney's new Fountain go by a couple of times. Sounds awesome.
