I have one at the first step into the cabin of my 42' Fountain that works so f**king well that i had to un-plug it to keep the battery from always being dead. i guess there was not enough room for a real float switch for water that may get traped in the front hull.... "in front of the incrediable steped hull design"... so they installed this ingenious dectector. It has caused me a world of frustration with dead batteries. We finally discovered the problem and un-hooked it. i havene't had a dead battery incident since. i did however pay a sh*t load of cash to a lot of service companies to tell me that my GREAT STEREO EQUIPMENT was the problem......
