Last Saturday about 340 boaters tried to reach a new world record for the Guiness book by showing a 3,5 km boat chain without gaps. The occasion was the opening of the newbuild lock Kaiserschleuse which has a 305 x 55 m size and has the same width as the newest Panama lock. The boaters only opportunity to get ever in that lock during their lifetime was at Saturday.
