Default GLM Exhaust Manifolds, anyone used them?

I have a buddy that found them on e-bay for his 502 mags. has anyone tried them, used them or know anything about them? He sd they are american made(west coast) and are supposed to "bolt up" in place of the stock ones.

Thanks!!

I just ordered a set for a budget 454 we are doing for a buddy's Scarab, we will have them early next week, but wont know for a few weeks til we get the engine installed and running. They make them in Cast Iron, and also in Aluminum, marketed by Dennis Moore.

Nice stuff, my buddy has a set on a small block and no issues at all. He has the alluminum ones. I would not hesitate to get them, quality pieces.

We just got the Cast Iron ones, Running in Saltwater without closed cooling, and the weight doesnt bother him as the boat has too much sternlift already.

you might have a look at www.revolutionmarine.com while your at it.......when I was looking for exhaust for my boat I found the Revs were not all that much more expensive than the aluminum GLMs .....I went for it and am very pleased with the fit and perf gain ...their a direct fit for the stock Merc like the GLMs

I bought two sets of them a couple of years ago from Dennis Moore. The casting was poor, they took some filing to get right. He didn't ship the bolts that he showed came with them and then when I asked for the bolts he said that if I wasn't such an idiot I could have bought them at the hardware store.

I told him that only an idiot pays for the same bolts twice.

They were ok, but not as expected. Took tons of extra work and some fancy gasket spray to make them seal.

I bought some a couple of years ago. They were OK for the money. They were missing some of the riser bolts too. The bolts that came with it were ugly anyway so I bought some that were decent looking. I hosed them with some good shiney paint to help camo the ugly casting. Been working fine!
